I have 1x control panel server, 1x Backup server and 4 x web hosting servers (UK, EU, US, and Singapore). Four of the servers have DNS roles also.

What I mean is pro-privacy stuff indeed attracts malicious actors. However, incognet seems to handle abuse and takedown phishing as fast as possible. Attackers could have left the DNS A records intact

Still can't change the DNS records.

Very cheap, especially the cost per day. $10-$15/year per domain name.. DNS is much less than that, create a bunch of sub-domains, and point.

Just because the domain still was pointing to the IP via external DNS. While there was NOT EVEN A ACTIVE SERVER!!!! The IPs simply un-used and/or some where re-assigned.

But one can't clean the domains pointed at your IPs. A bad domain name, pointed at one of your IPs, isn't something you can change unless you are hosting the DNS.

It could be that the bots would only pick them up when the name's FDNS record corresponds with the IP's rDNS record, during that particular time.
