You can do DNS validation rather than HTTP validation, then your host doesn't even need to be accessible publicly (so you can use Let's Encrypt for services that aren't exposed to the public internet)

Did you request a wildcard certificate in the process? Domain-validation should work just fine. Check /usr/local/apnscp/storage/logs/error_log, most likely a fatal error triggered.

iirc GoGetSSL.com was the cheapest for normal/wildcard SSL. Not sure for EV tho. But IMO EV ssl is dead anyway.

Has anyone encountered this issue with Let's encrypt? I tried generating a wildcard manually but get this error. The ssl failed to renew itself I think so I tried to generate manually.
