it's also a good marketing term, but not neccessarily beneficial to clients and especially some like contabo are known to force their nodes and sell ressources really to the limits in every regard.

From the POV of a provider I don't see why they wouldn't have it enabled except for maybe providers like Contabo where it used to be popular to see summer hosts nesting their servers.

Contabo is heavily oversold, and you are getting what you pay for, since they are so cheap. I wouldn't put anything performance sensitive on contabo.

I moved from a contabo VPS L SSD to a VPS L NVMe (had to set it from scratch because Contabo's rescaling capabilities are non-existent) and the latter is ridiculously slow in terms of storage access.

Also keep in mind that the numbers for the Contabo NVMe were average numbers over more than 100 runs. There were certainly also run where Rd. Seq. was way north of 4000.

But, anyone relying on jsg's vpsbench is gonna get a very skewed result and you can check the Contabo thread and even my analysis for how badly it skews results. That's why I went out of my way to use
