Any DDoS protection provider (such as us) who offers protection for TCP services can protect a SMTP service from DDoS attack. Perferably this should be done with GRE/IP-in-IP tunnel to prevent any IP leakage (depending on STMP server configuration) in the hostname response if no FQDN is supplied.
