I have an SSL from GoGetSSL.com and installed to cPanel hosting. but i dont know why my SSL is broken. not compatible in some browser. i have install it same like the instruction that gogetssl give me. and the result still same. broken chain ( https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=www.metaupload.com )
Comments
What is the site and what is broken?
My Site is https://www.metaupload.com/
the error some old browser will mark my site as security error. https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=www.metaupload.com
You are missing a cert in the chain. Add it in the correct order and it should work fine. https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=metaupload.com&hideResults=on
I found this in my notes from the last time I dealt with a Comodo SSL cert. Maybe it'll help:
Server.crt -> COMODORSAAddTrustCA.crt -> COMODORSADomainValidationSecureServerCA.crt
Did you set up the CA-Bundle?
https://support.comodo.com/index.php?/Default/Knowledgebase/Article/View/642/37/certificate-installation-whmcpanel-11
Step 9 in the tutorial above.
i dont have server.crt only have Addtrust externalCA Root.
and that 3 crt file add to cabundle section right ?
server.crt is your server's certificate. You should only need to add COMODORSAAddTrustCA.crt and COMODORSADomainValidationSecureServerCA.crt.
i have do that but still chain broken..
i have try cabundle from comodo and not fixed
Request CA-Bundle from Comodo, it would work for sure.
But Doesnt work. i think theres a problem with my hosting provider. someone has help me trough TeamViewer but still not fixed and tell me to contact my hosting provider
When I faced this, I submit the CA-Bundle while installing & it was solved in a minute.
Hmm. where do you submit the CA-Bundle ?
Yes SSL is working. but the Certificate Chain not detected. and it will make my site not compatible in some browser.
CA bundles are missing. You have to add all 3 CA bundle together and then upload it. If you did not get the 3 CA bundles from your provider contact with COMODO directly to have them.
which control panel are you using?
I had 4 certs when application was Apache and only 2 for cPanel
IE and Opera working fine, not sure bout the rest.

Take a look at this, you can see what is required to set up each type of cert
While installing & activating the SSL, you will see three Boxes, Private Key, SSL Cert & CA-Bundle. Private Key would be there automatically (if you have generated it from cPanel itself), You have to open your .crt file with Notepad & copy-paste all in SSL Cert Box (2nd Box) & then you need to open CA-Bundle file with Nodepad & copy-paste in the CA Bundle Box. Then, activate it, the issue will be shortened out for sure.
Yes i know i have do that. but still its doesnt work.
yes i have do that. but doesnt work..
i use cPanel. and when i apply the cert i apply as cPanel too
@DianTama if it's cPanel, root certificate and intermediaries are auto detected, just domain certificate should do, no idea why yours isn't working. Perhaps you should re-issue and reinstall
i have reissue but still doesnt work. maybe the problem on my hosting. im still contacting my hosting provider right now i hope they can solve my problem
@DianTama if you need a hosting account to test, let me know. I'll provide 1 for your test and remove after.
Just message your hosting provider. They should do it for you.
No thanks i have try my SSL on Plesk before and its work fine. but i migrating to new hosting and SSL not working..
Yes i have contact my hosting provider i hope they fix it
@DianTama should have mentioned it was used with Plesk before
