ProFTPD Incorrect login

Hey

Need help,
I installed proftpd on my Debian VPS
I created an user, tried to login to FTP, but.... Login incorrect
Can someone help me with this?

    tail -n 10 /var/log/proftpd/proftpd.log
    What's the output of that?

    You have a user name and password setup using unix's useradd and passwd right? These usernames and the hashed password show up in /etc/shadow as well?

    Some ftp server configs in the Debian repo by default only allow anonymous FTP.

    Post your config file.

    Reinstalled proftpd and now it's working fine derp..
