Exactly. Even if this domain extension was free, I would not use it.
This might be a revolutionary idea, but did any of you ever think that someone might want it for their site about, um, cricket?

Who need host with .cricket?
Many of these new TLD cannot be interested even for free.. 
Cricket is a very popular sport in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Caribbean Islands such as Antigue, Barbados, Jamica etc so with more than a billion cricket fanatics there could be many interested in this but yes if you tell a layman your website is www.autralia.cricket, he would just type autraliacricket.com or austrlaia.cricket.com
^ This. If a domain is .football for EU citizens or .basketball for example, there would be a lot of interest from teams, clubs, media or fun clubs.
