  • OVH vps?

  • OVH Will work. I Already have The Classic VPS, so it have to be from a provider that use OVH.

  • Probably LET not a right place for ask, providers don't like Tor

  • OVH or online.net

    Why? Can't you just get another VPS, why need a middleman between you and OVH?

    You should be looking for 512MB of RAM at least, if you don't want Tor to crash every couple of days;

    and also ask for AES-NI support (cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep aes), or it's 100% CPU usage for prolonged periods, which no VPS provider will like.

  • rm: because of diversity.
    I know that The CPU need to have AES-NI support. When i get an offer i Will know if it has or not.

    If any of you have an offer pls. Post it or PM me, thanks

    Fixed that for you.

  • The Classic VPS has only 10TB hasn't it?

    One of the best hosts you'll find for TOR. Don't expect to be able to do anonymous signup, they strictly forbid it. I use them for a personal storage server, but they're a good host, and if you have spare bitcoins it's a good way to get rid of them.

    17$ Yearly, 3TB Monthly BW, 256MB OVZ and as i know CrownCloud allows Tor-Relays: https://crowncloud.net/clients/cart.php?a=add&pid=3

    Isnt unlimited but cheap.

    Isn't cheap at all, considering BW to dollars ratio.

    Same.

    Nah, they don't limit.

  • How do you run a relay on 256MB? I'm personally running out of memory when maxing out my interface.

    look at the "torpids" nodes, they are all from cheap providers with unmetered bandwidth

    Okay to run as exit node?

    Ask them first, for an exit node a VPS really isn't the thing to use...

    Can you recommend something for around 20$ ? (with lower traffic)

    Online.net, or some host that forwards abuse and is a proper legal company.

  • Firstheberg has a cheap VPS plan if I recall.

    Indeed, the times when 1-2 TB a month was a lot are long gone. Now middle nodes are capable of pushing a few TB a day if you have the gear and traffic. I think it does have some limitations to avoid a large proportion of the traffic to go through one node, but is very generous.

    @Die_Quelle No, but ask @SpeedBus.

    Because that VPN and RDP are also identifiable locations and VPNs are sharing the data with your government. If you lived under a rock, you may try to see the sun once in a while.
