Apache James Server - Entp. Mail Server

Was wondering if anyone has used this Apache James Mail Server and have hands on experience with it ?

I have a ongoing project that (already discussed in an earlier thread) requires 3M -to- 5M mails a month, and I need to send mails at and average of 3-5 mails a second.

During my research I stumbled upon this James.Apache project, and it looks to be geared towards high performance mail server.

Please share your experiences if any... like is it runnable on a 4GB VPS or Dedic only and any other considerations about it.
Thanks

last release according to site is 3 years ago... I'm not sure if that is a good idea if it is true.
