Windows license
I have a ks1 from kimsufi.com and e1.99 box from online.net.
I want to use these boxes as my virtual desktop that I can use via RDP.
What type of Windows license will I need to purchase and for how much do they sell for? I am looking at win 7 ultimate or win 8.1.I have no real need for server edition.
Any help is appreciated.

Be aware of scammers/etc, buy from people with high rep/etc
Side note: Do not know if Online.net allows you to install own licence due to the fact that they already do provide licences.
BTW, do you really need Windows - Linux VNCs are free

.thanks. Online.Net doesn't allow Windows on this server. So it's a workaround I am planning on using.
I am looking for a solution that allows me to connect to the server from my Nexus 5 or laptop while on road. I thought RDP will be easy to use. I tried it earlier with Windows 8 and the server was good in response.
VNC with kde or Ubuntu with gnome has looked resource intensive.... Maybe it's my setup.. I don't know.
I am ok with any.. I was thinking RDP was easy..
Using a full desktop environment through VNC is a bit laggy, I agree. Its mainly due to the graphical intensitive-ness
What you want to try is NoMachine NX - I have found that it has better response.
If it still is too laggy for your requirements, wipe it all out, and use OpenBox. Even with VNC, I have found OpenBox to be bearable.
I have had no success with no machine mx...setup wise.
So if there's a tutorial for that or openbox I'll be glad to try
What OS are you on (Sorry if your on CentOS/etc, only familiar with Ubuntu/Debian)
I will prefer centos
And is there any native android app for nomachine?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomachine.nxplayer&hl=en
You will have to wait for someone familiar with centos then, as I don't feel comfortable working on something I don't have much experience working with.
Hmm
May be I'll give Ubuntu/debian a try. Can you please share a tutorial
Use debs from https://www.nomachine.com/download/linux&id=1
Download and Install, and connect using NoMachine NX Client
Side note: You will notice me suggesting specifically NoMachine NX instead of X2Go due to non-android support.
Will give a try. Seems nomachine no supports only tablets. Not regular phone
