Poll - 1st half of 2012 (US)
I know that there was a poll recently (made by @liam) but I want to try something different.
There is a lot of questions about best providers in specific location or technology so ...
... please put only one provider name in each category (you can choose only few categories if you want)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US East Coast (KVM)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US West Coast (KVM)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US Central (KVM)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US East Coast (OpenVZ)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US West Coast (OpenVZ)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US Central (OpenVZ)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US East Coast (Xen/VMWare/Other)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US West Coast (Xen/VMWare/Other)
Best provider in 1st half of 2012 - US Central (Xen/VMWare/Other)
Poll will be closed on 2012-07-09 00:00 UTC
I will draw one person - prize: 1 month of EDIS KVM Smart.
Note: For draw purposes I will merge votes from both topic (US and EU/Asia)
Rules (similar to @liam's poll)
- You have to be active user >= 30 days
- You can't vote for your company.
- One entry per person
- You plan has to be within the <$7 limit
Please feel free to PM me in case of questions
Update: limited to US, there will be another poll for EU and Asia
Comments
Everybody wins a prize! ... Seriously too many options!
Also, what counts as central US? Why isn't Asia included in the rest of the world?
@BluBoy - prize updated
@liam - I want to distinguish technology type
@gbshouse voting in so many different categories on the forum thread would be hard... and even harder for you to parse and summarize.
Is it possible to create some webform or something, don't know.
Sorry, what I meant is that with so many categories, all the providers will come out 'on top'.
@liam - but some users are looking for (example) KVM in LA or OpenVZ in NY
with so many choices, maybe you only get few votes per category because of spread out.
@liam - limited to US, will open another topic for EU and Asia
Or get everyone to add their vote to a google doc... And then parse it into a db/spread sheet for variable statistics... EG Response Template:
Then you could exract the stats you want
@BluBoy - I need only provider names, there is a lot of comparison websites around

leb price?
yep i have a 50% recurring discount, so very much into leb price..
256MB > USD5
But the real discount is when you get cpanel with them which also gets 50% discount with already cheap price of USD8.50
512MB, 1GB Burst, 30GB, 2 cores, 1TB + Cpanel = USD11.75
which i would say is a very good bargain..
