Hello,

I have a desktop computer with Ubuntu 12.04 desktop installed.. I have successfully installed the pptp client on this computer and can connect to my VPS.

Today I just do an update because pretty long time not update this desktop. After doing the update, I no longer can connect to my PPTP VPS on my VPS. Having look on the syslog, there an error something related to network-manager. Does anyone can help me to fix this?

Thank you.

  • When you type pppd in terminal does it output a load of random characters or an error message? Sounds like ppp is not working.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for the reply..

I typed on the CLI, nothing happend... just cursor blinking not showing any message or error. May I inform that this works before.. But after doing Ubuntu update, it become failed now.. Any other solution or test please?

This happend on 2 of my computer. Both using Ubuntu 12.04.5... Showing the same error log.

    Thanks...
