KVM with SolusVM backups, how do you do it?

Hello,

we have some problems with the KVM backups, it seems that the SolusVM solution for backups is not a great solution. The backups use huge amounts of space, the compression of the backups is very very low.

Is there anybody here that uses SolusVM + KVM and has find a professional backup solution that provides incremental backups and/or deduplication solutions ?

Thank you in advance!

  • Due to have KVM works, you can't really do much but to backup each VM individually via R1Soft or something similar.

Are you storing your KVM backups locally or on a remote server?

Hello Dalek, at this moment we store the backups remotely via FTP.

  • Find something with more space to backup onto, even if you use the best compression it won't work too good.
