kondemand?

I have a process called kondemand running on my server, when I'm looking at the top view there is a whole bunch of them kondemand/1 , kondemand/2 etc. Each one is using about 1-3% CPU, that I didn't notice being there a couple days ago. I read the process is used for power management and controls the CPU clock, but what would suddenly have it jump near the top... Of well top ? The server isnt under high load at all.

Edit: Alright so I have one for each processor thread
