Looking for a web manageable FTP server.
I have been looking around and can't seem to find something that would work as I need. I need to be able to manage a FTP server from a web based GUI -- such as adding users, deleting users, and giving read only permission to folders.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Use Webmin.
do yourself a favor, use SFTP, not plain, old, unsecure FTP
This. Ajenti or use any control panel.
I've been looking for standalone FTP web GUI for month, but couldn't find anything decent.
Well, ftpS exists... explicit or implicit tls...
Didn't try this out but... Did you try http://proftpd-adm.sourceforge.net/
or
http://machiel.generaal.net/index.php?subject=user_manager_pureftpd
http://www.howtoforge.com/pure-ftpd-virtual-hosting-centos-7
I requested my php girl to create a webgui for this setup sometime ago (for the debian version of this guide)
at the end it looks very bad , but get's the job done.
but unfortunately because of me all the code vanished into some unused usb flash drive that I never be able to find it again.
But it only took 2-3 hours to finish everything.
So I guess it will be very easy for a php guru to code something.
If I find my vanished code, I ill upload it to somewhere..
FTPs is better than FTP, but sftp is better than either as it can use keys instead of just passwords.
Please don't use FTP. It transmits everything in the clear, including passwords.
I suggest sftp because you create a linux user you jail him to his home and he cant do anything but handling his own directory.
