I'm looking for a budget VPS to do some dev/testing and put a few back-ups on. Any provider recommendations?

Budget: Around the $6 per month mark
Location: Not fussed at all (US would probably be cheaper)
Specs: 256MB RAM, 5-10GB disk, 100GB bandwidth (max)
How about looking at leb, chosing from some of the latest offers that have nice reviews?
From what I saw US is cheap on HW and Europe on BW. Since you need HW go with US.
6 $ is a lot for that kind of requirements. I think 2 is possible.

Check out @CVPS_Chris offers, $7/mo with 2GB RAM and 50GB HD, along with 2TB bandwidth. My node (33) is rock-solid.
And that day I think they installed me a module, or I don't remember what but I rebooted it.

$10-15/annual VPS is sufficient for this.
And then, a local virtual machine on your own PC might be enough too. Just buy whatever you feel like buying, it's not like you are spending millions for it...

Evorack, Bhost, IPXCore, Secure Dragon.... all fit your needs at that price range and have been good services for me. I have had the first two longer than the second two. All of them have had good support and good uptime.
