Migrate user vps

Hello

How to migrate user data include ssh password from vps to another vps?

I just know how to copy data with rsync but never find about copy ssh password

Pls help me

  • Ask your host for a vzdump or something, but don't tell them you are moving!

  • I am not sure I think password is in located in /etc/ssh/* ...But asking your host is a better option :-)

    There are many tutorials for rsync full server migrations. You literally rsync the entire / and exclude the files you are supposed to exclude. It even takes the password.

    Just google full server migration rsync

    hopefully you mean your own user data, not something like you're customers or such...
    suppose you definitly should think about a managed service or do a lot of reading about system administration ;-)

  • The whole VM file can be migrated if needed. Ask your provider to do it if within their own infrastructure.
