Stupid question IPV6

This might be a stupid question to you guys but im still to used to the ipv4 protocol.
For example on online.net their servers come with
1 ipv4 ip and for IPv6 adresses bloc /48. What does that mean?? bloc/48?
is is just 1 ipv6 ip? or a bunch of them?

    A bunch (2^(128-48))

  • A /48 is 1208925819614629174706176 ipv6 addresses. But don't worry, you don't have to use them all.

I've been pushing myself to use at least 1.

  • lol, ok so, if i get a dedicated server from them i can "setup" 1208925819614629174706176 vps's each with their own dedicated server? that is not enough.... lol

Only 30% of the world has connectivity to IPv6 I believe.

  • well, if i got a server it would be exclusively to be used with hileap+wine. still doable?

It is, but I bet more than half of the sites on hitleap don't have ipv6 enabled nor hitleap itself.

Edit: check, hitleap doesn't have IPv6 active.

  • hum ok. that was very helpful thank you :)
