cpanel on a 32bit vps on a 64bit host

from cpanel system requirements

cPanel does not support 32-bit Virtual Environments that run on a 64-bit host kernel

I've never asked a provider what architecture is using for the host.
Has anyone ever been in trouble because of this?

A lot of our Clients Run Cpanel on a 32bit environment, never heard of any issue. But 64 bit OS architecture is a bit better ( I like 64 bit a bit more than 32 for apparently no reason).

  • "does not support" does not always means "will not run". It means, that if any issues arises, I doubt cPanel will be able to help you much ^^.

Read my comment = Never heard of any issue != Nothing happened ;) not atleast in 3+ years.
