Amazon EC2 test ip

I wish to try which of Amazon's location has better latency to my place. If Japan or Singapore. Any idea how to get test ip? I have no luck with google so far

    @jcaleb why not just open an account? It comes with free micro instance for a year which you can run in any locations (and move it as needed)?
