Possible to find any self hosted solution?
VNC/RDP ?

Use VNC. It's easy to set up and very good.
Chrome Remote Desktop - http://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/2a5whh/introducing_chrome_remote_desktop_for_linux_beta/

Chrome Remote Desktop is really nice. I've used it too and also works well with my Nexus 5.
TeamViewer is the best remote assistant software I ever use.
I think you should try join dot me
Works pretty well
Wow, looks interesting!
Remote Desktop.
I think you're trying to point something out here but I can't seem to understand what that is....
Join.me (http://www.join.me) - I forward friends/customers to it they send me a code and I request desktop control, works nicely - it's by the folks at LogMeIn
We use GoToAssist Expert - really great software but it's not cheap.
What's wrong with teamviewer?
Join.me , but not sure why you wouldn't use teamviewer its like the best
try TeamViewer
Take a look at screenconnect. I use it to provide support to a couple of customers. Being self hosted I only have to open a couple of ports to a specific IP address for the servers. I know it's secure.
It has a decent mobile app and gives a 30 day trial that you can keep extending easily. I have a online.net $1.99 server that is managing to temporarily host about 40 concurrent connections (not active screen sessions) easily right now.
He wants an alternative to team viewer..
