yum from IPv6 only VPS :(
Hello Everyone,
I am playing with IPv6 VPS given away by joodle.
All things are going well but the issue is that there is no IPv4 on that. That is why it can't connect to yum because it can't access any IPv4.
Here is the error i am getting :
[root@ ~]# yum update
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Determining fastest mirrors
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://vzdownload.swsoft.com/download/mirrors/centos-6 error was
14: PYCURL ERROR 7 - "Failed to connect to 199.115.104.111: Network is unreachable"
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: vz-base
Is there any solution available for that ?
Thank you all

No issues with ipv6 only yum on my own test server, what os are you using?
Also make sure you have ipv6 only name servers specified!
CentOS 6 32 bit, yes IPv6 nameservers are specified there
CentOS is not suitable for ipv6-only use. Use debian.
I am actually used to CentOS, thank you for the suggestion
Installing Debian now
Yeah try Debian or ask @joodle nicely to build NAT
it looks to me that the problem you have is that the site your trying to download from (http://vzdownload.swsoft.com) only has ipv4 available... if you want to download from there you will hit a wall no matter what OS you have installed
Don't want to get NAT or IPv4 as i already had LES NAT VPS which i have idle
I want to get used to IPv6 thats why messing with it
Installed Debian & apt-get on it is working very well, it's weird that CentOS which is name as Community Enterprise OS doesn't even support IPv6 completely
Yes, you are right.
Even i am unable to ping those hostnames because of no IPv4
yeah nothing to do with CentOS really, tis just that provider not supporting it - theres many official CentOS mirrors that are IPv6 enabled
I guess vz-base is not necessarily rapidly updated as long as VPS. so why don't you just delete vz.repo in /etc/yum.repos.d directory and try again yum update!
14: PYCURL ERROR 7 - "Failed to connect to 199.115.104.111: Network is unreachable" Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: vz-base
That's a Custom repo.
