PPTP help on CentOS
Hey,
I have installed PPTP on my CentOS 5.7 XEN VPS, I can connect to it but no sites load after I am connected to it, without connecting to it every thing works..
I followed this guide :
http://docs.cslabs.clarkson.edu/wiki/Install_PPTP_on_CentOS_5
Any help ?
Thanks !

You did the following?
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
Make the changes active
sysctl -p
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
Make the changes active
sysctl -p
Yep did that
Any other solutions ? any IPTables changes other than the ones on that link ?
Ok, What are you dns servers/resolvers pointing to?
And on this picture http://docs.cslabs.clarkson.edu/w/images/7/70/Pptp5.jpg
Disable MsChap, Only keep v2 enabled. Let me know if anything changes.
just run via ssh
sh pptpd.sh
Enjoy
I'm using Google DNS, and same thing it connects but no internet after connecting
sh pptpd.sh
Nop, Now it does not connect at all
EDIT : It Connects but same error
Are you install it on refresh OS?
The iprables is enabled?

i'm running pptpd on OpenVZ and working good, maybe the OS have issue if you are do everything right maybe try use different centos OS and just run
sh pptpd.sh
Hmm.. Possible..
You probably haven't made the route with iptables
SNAT
i think snat is for openvz
SNAT is for anything with a VPN (NAT).
what would the correct iptables rules be ?? i have tried the rules stated in that link i posted but they did not work ...
also, i can connect only to the vps when im connected to the vpn
try first
iptables -t nat --flush
then
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -j SNAT --to-source 11.22.33.44
being 11.22.33.44 your VPS
then
service pptpd restart
and try again
Still the same error I can access the VPS, but nothing else after I am connected to the PPTP
try pinging IPs, to check if it is the DNS. maybe you don't set them
@SpeedBus Drop me a PM with your skype and I will get this sorted for you.

Thanks !
