Cloudflare Singapore node routing
Just some heads up for those using Cloudflare for their South East Asia(SEA) Servers.
Lately I notice slow ping reply from cloudflare enabled website to Malaysia, around 2xxms instead of below 100ms, which SEA should be getting. After some ticketing with Cloudflare, it seems their clients in SEA is reroute from Japan to US West Coast instead of Singapore, hence the high reply time.
Confirmed by their support:
Hello, This seems to be related to peering. We're currently working on arrangements with new transit providers in the region, and expect to have this resolved in the next month or so. Thanks for your patience.
So, expect slightly higher latency at the moment.

Next month or so? WTS?
Which malaysia telco you using?
Sorry, what's "WTS"?
Currently using Yes 4G and Celcom
WTS = what the shit
The issue doesn't mean it is happening to every site owner using CloudFlare; those issues are generally related to how ISPs route traffic & we have to work with them to fix routing issues like that (that's why they also can take time).
