Buzz off.
Can't people be so smart to post this in one topic?
Stop fcking creating this posts!
I wonder how they make any profit on a €2/m dedicated server, it just seems unreal! is this a loss-leader strategy?
ok
it is. it is a marketing strategy, and it was a success
kidechire everywhere
They will make profit in the second year.
What I don't understand is why would you buy a server with a 4 year harddrive and a slower cpu?
You mean us or Online.net?
Online
I think they have been there for a long time, as the graphs (bandwidth etc) shows some data of 2013
This hardware was their main 9.99 EUR offer: http://www.online.net/fr/serveur-dedie/dedibox-scg2
That one has been upgraded to 500 GB disk, but only quite recently (maybe a year or so).
So for over 3 years before that, people were renting these 2 EUR servers we now have, at 9.99/month.
The hardware has long since paid for itself, but "refuses to break"; the mobo/CPUs are essentially eternal, and even HDDs are still going strong. So why not make a PR stint by renting some out at cost (of electricity+bw).
And then I clicked the button
Who ever posts will be greeted with PMs by the looks of it.
There are currently 10 topics like that on the forum :v
All those who have such dedi can givemake avps and give it for $1 .
Why all those (mainly chinese) people try to buy a 1,99 dedi NOW?
Is it so hard to understand that they are out of stock and no new stock will be added?
You missed the opportunity, that's it. Shit happens.
Is it a language barrier?
Not anymore.
a) It's out of stock, it won't be in stock again any time soon
b) According to online.net terms, services are not transferable, so don't look to buy from someone who bought it before.
