    Vultr kind of provide this. They track both inbound and outbound traffic and only bill you for whichever is highest.

    I chose RAM. I rarely fill up space and I find memory to be the first bottleneck for things I often run. For example I will frequently spin up a VM to test out a mail server configuration often involving groupware solutions that are complex and memory heavy. These are not the kind of things you optimize before running.
