Soyoustart BHS speed issue

I have recently acquired a soyoustart server in BHS, however, the network speed seems embarrassingly low and fluctuates wildly. Is this the norm for soyoustart (OVH at BHS) network?
@MCHPhil do you know what's going on with OVH? Do you have any issues right now?

I don't honestly think that speed is a problem for the price paid.

Thanks, so something is wrong with my server, configuration then. It's a Centos 7 installation and I have not done much to it. Did you have to optimize/alter the network config in any way?
This still fresh install, CentOS 6.5 and already run yum update. One more time:
Surprisingly Japan and Singapore has much better speed compared to Roubaix DC.

Nope, I know what you meant but this is likely a hardware issue and I hope they do respond to hardware issues. I don't have high hopes either but I will let you know.
p.s. I have tried to install different distro as well and same result. I have played around with some tcp configs but none seem to change anything so. At the moment I have concluded it is hardware issue, be it a switch or my server.
Lots mtr packet loss / random high ping too at my direct gateway. First hop.
I too noticed an issue when they activated my new server this morning. I am going overseas when I reside in NA.
You are probably just on a heavily subscribed port and from your results they are within SLA so seriously, don't expect an answer that you want to hear if you even get one

It's ok man, my impression of OVH was based on a few kimsufis I have both at RBX and BHS (same DC as my server in question). The network speed was always very consistent on kimsufis. As for over subscribing, I don't think that's happening on a larger scale, see http://weathermap.ovh.net/

Thanks, I too did the same as you haha. Finally pulled the gun last night at Soyoustart. I haven't ever seen a ping <80ms from where I'm at usually.
I've heard of not speed issues at this time. I will check things out and reply again shortly. This is a reminder to do so.
Update: 22/08/14
In addition to the network issues, I also found memory module defective in rescue mode with the OVH provided tester. (Server could still run)
The ticket regarding network speed was submitted 17/08/14 and was answered by 19/08/14 from what looks like communication department asking for more tests, I provided those tests and have not heard back from OVH yet.
The ticket regarding faulty memory was submitted 18/08/14 and was answered by 20/08/14 asking for appropriate time to intervention. I said earliest time possible and the module was replaced on 22/08/14 in the early morning, the server was offline for 10 minutes.
Network speed has returned to a respectable level since 20/08/14 except for Asia and European countries. Which remains around 2.5MB/s. I will still waiting to hear an answer regarding this.
I am happy with the response time and service provided. I will let you know how the oversea connection issue goes.
