VPS NAT IPv4 + IPv6 USA location $3?
I have lowendspirit VPS. It works fine. The only problem is Google redirecting me to google.com.hk
I have tried the:
http://www.google.com/ncr
It does work on Home Page. The problem is that it ONLY works on Home Page.
For example:
My Home Page is google.com. But if I search for lowendtalk. The ads within lowendtalk are Chinese.
I did the https://support.google.com/websearch/contact/ip
Over 30 days. No go. Still google.com.hk
I only use the VPS for personal VPN. If anyone can match the lowendspirit USA spec (anywhere in the USA), please do?

Without IPv6 and for $1 more, there is Bandwagon Host. Oh, also RAM is a lot smaller than LES USA but it'd probably run OpenVPN without an issue.
Home Page:
If you want your Home Page to stick to the ".com" as well, use either "http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en" or "http://www.google.com/ncr" as your browser's Home Page. For a ".com" Home Page without Google Suggest, you can use "http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&complete=0".

How often do you use this VPN and would it be an inconvenience to stop/start the server when it is needed in order to save a few bucks?
I use the VPN 10 - 12 hours a day.
Well if starting the VPS when needed and then stopping it when its not in use isn't too much trouble you could always look into a system like ours where billing is done hourly based on the amount of time a certain package has been 'active' within a 24 hour period.
this allows you too access a large range of configurations for a relatively low deposit.

But it'll work for much more than just a VPN with 512MB ram, 10GB storage. 1TB bandwidth & 3 IPv4. So you could split it with 2 other friends and each have a dedicated IP.
