Are you a college student? If so you can get them for free.
I am getting them for free from some kind of rpogram for developers.
For web devs@ http://www.microsoft.com/web/websitespark/
For College/Uni students @ https://www.dreamspark.com/
yes i am a student. how many keys do i get? for all countries?
For DreamSpark you get one.
one key? i certainly need more then one?
I think you have to have an @.edu e-mail
The only way your going to get Windows Server Licences is through Microsoft, if you need to run a Window application on a server you could try Linux + Wine.
Are you starting a web hosting company? If so then don't go with these. These are only for person fun use.
yes. i am.
Then you will have to get the via your DC for the cheapest prices.
actually OVH Prices are not cheap. thats why i am looking for a cheaper source. and no i dont provide my client using OVH Servers just reselling them.
OVH is about standard pricing. You can't go much cheaper. But some DC get them for free.
so there is no way out of this. i remember burstNet selling them? but i guess its for their servers only?
Some DCs offer it for free inclusive in the plan.
Your either have to go through Microsoft yourself or use your DCs.
Being cheap won't help you at all. You could become a Mircrosoft Partner but you can are a reseller so nvm.
well. how much do MCSoft charge for that i can certainly be a partner.
what are the requirements?
i am not being cheap, i am fine with those prices but i am worrying about my customer
There is separate licensing model for service providers SPLA http://www.microsoft.com/hosting/en/us/licensing/splahowto.aspx
i have seen OVH resellers charging their license for 10$ ? how did they do that that is below the market price!?
@Randy - so use your home address. Here you have SPLA related webcast http://www.msdev.com/Directory/Description.aspx?eventId=1714.
You can also look at HP website http://h41225.www4.hp.com/promotions/us/en/slms/Partners/Microsoft/Microsoft_SPLA
you can see what i have edited ? :O
Basically in SPLA you are leasing licenses, just google for SPLA pricing list and you can find for example this http://www.datacenter.eu/microsoft-spla-licenses.html
is there any company that resells microsft products?
@Randy - see my first link (http://www.microsoft.com/hosting/en/us/licensing/splahowto.aspx) scroll down the page, choose your region and choose one of the companies ...
great both of those resellers in my company's links are not working!
@Randy - where are you from?
singapore. the site work but when it comes to part of the SPLA its dead
@Randy - to be honest I don't know any provider in Asia, but you can join Microsoft Partner Network (it's free and you can do it online) and contact Microsoft representatives - they will help you to solve all the issues.
The keys are MAK's
