pppd goes to 100% when attempting a pptp connection
Hi there!
I have an openvz VPS and have pptpd configured and have been able to connect to it using and iphone, an ipad and a Windows PC from different locations. Out of the blue it just stopped working. When attempting to connect i get this on the logs:
Oct 13 18:22:32 vps pppd[7811]: Couldn't open the /dev/ppp device: No such file or directory
The PPP module has been enabled since i get this:
cat: /dev/ppp: No such device or address
I noticed that when i try to connect, pppd goes to 100% and stays like that until killed.
Any ideas?

It ended up being a provider issue. I will keep the modprobe ppp-generic command in my head in case i need it some other time.
