Upgrade Joomla 1.5

Hi, I have a lot of old joomlas 1.5 and need to upgrade to 2.5 or more.

I remember that Softaculous for a short time offered automated upgrade from the panel, but I just upgraded a couple of sites, now I wonder if any easy way to upgrade the rest of sites, since Softaculous doesn't seem to upgrade this way anymore.

Any idea ? thanks

I used jupgrade to upgrade several joomla installs. But it is no longer available. Spupgrade seems to be the only automatic extension for this.

I would do an akeeba backup and try upgrading on a test environment and make sure it all jives. Going from 1.5 to 3 I had several urls that changed and was able to find work arounds to keep google happy.

Great guide link below. Shame about jupgrade, it made it easy to do.
