They seems to have improved yesterday by getting a new Operations Director.
So Will You Suggest Them??
I haven't tried them yet, so i don't know.
Their server would not improve overnight by simplifying hiring another staff/kid and changing their user titles.
Support seems improved though, got a response in 2 mins.

Your budget of $10 won't cover a 100GB SSD - 4GB RAM plan. Would a non-sad plan work?

99.99% people don't need SSD unless they plan to abuse the disk. So how did you reach this "assertion" that you need SSD
Your budget is too low for a decent vps with 4 GB RAM
Always do some research before choosing a provider, choosing one just because it is cheap could lead to issues.
I hope for you that GVH actually gets serious but be prepared for the opposite, keep making backups of your vps just incase. If they have a refund policy somewhere you could read it and perhaps ask money back to undo this possible mistake you've made.
For hosting a busy database, SSD is a must.
Winity changed to SSD also because the performance was severely degraded.
So... SSD represents a better chance to get better performance for busy VPS nodes...

Someone posted a benchmark of their VPS on one of our SSD nodes and the IO was around 780MB/s.
