Server Offline for HostHatch O.o

ZealZeal Member
edited June 2014 in Help

Their website is up, and the control panel is up.
I tried boot and reboot.
SSH does not work.
I tried a serial console, but putty closes after entering the password or sometimes it just times out before entering a password.
When I use the Java Console built into the solusvm cp, when I enter my password it tell me to re-enter or sometimes it lets me in, but I get a blank window.

Does this mean my server is offline or maybe I have to boot it somehow?
I can't afford to have my website down. My website has been down for 6 hours and counting.

I submitted a ticket, but it's rather urgent as I want my website back online.

1am where? In Shanghai that would mean its down for 15 minutes so far.

Only their support will be able to help.

Server seems to be back now, but not being able to connect, does that mean offline?

  • Which location you are hosted in?

Can you post your IP address or hostname?

Okay, thank you, I will be waiting for their support then. I thought maybe I could do something on my end.

I doubt that you'll get any support during the weekends.

Emergency tickets such as this need to be handled regardless of time and date.

That would be ideal, but I personally never have encountered a provider that did reply tickets during those days (no matter how critical.)

The ones I used did. Maybe the response time is not as fast, but no proper host can simply close the doors because its a weekend. Hosting is basically a 24/7 business.
