I haven't used it, but I believe I've seen a few people recommend it in threads. If it runs Taobao and other sites, that's a pretty solid endorsement of its quality right there.
I switched from Nginx to Tengine since 2012, it is 100% compatible with Nginx.
It has been good and stable and never had a problem.
I used taobao and tmall and I can say that its the safest and biggest online shopping system in the world, I just heard about this nginx fork and it's probably good but it seems many features wont be needed and can be achieved by simple configuration.
Heard about it several years ago but never tried yet. Will give it a try. I am excited to follow this thread to see other experience.

Never heard about it till now......it looks cool but i think i will wait a bit before using it on my production servers

I've heard that for a long time but never used it. I am lazy and I like running apt-get install nginx...
