BlueVM Anniversary Sale - Limited Time Only!
One year ago today BlueVM began offering services to people via our site. At that time it was limited to a select few clients who we had private deals with. Since then we've expanded from just one node all the way to having over 1,000 clients at 4 locations nationwide. To celebrate this achievement we are offering our BLUE3 plan for just $1.99 /Mo. for life!
Plan Details:
256 MB of Guaranteed Ram
512 MB of Burstable RAM
2 CPU's (@2.5 Ghz+ Each)
1 IP Address
40 GB of Storage
1 TB of Bandwidth
Visit our site: https://bluevm.com for details.

limited time until when? btw, interested in offer.
Sorry, we are running this special from now through the 25th of this month (or until we run out of stock)...
I have no need for another VPS, let alone one that highly spec'ed... However, I am finding it difficult to say no!
Happy birthday BlueVM!
ditto
Same here, double ditto
happy birthday also. congrats for 1 whole year of service.
I buy the VPS in California ,but the HDD is slowly
4096+0 records in
4096+0 records out
268435456 bytes (268 MB) copied, 92.212 seconds, 2.9 MB/s
Noticing that as well (same location, but the default Debian 6 template) ... Not as bad as yours though
(5 runs, lowest and highest scores ignored)
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 24.9581 s, 43.0 MB/s
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 28.5965 s, 37.5 MB/s
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 32.3142 s, 33.2 MB/s
Thanks!
@BluBoy im getting that same performance but on my previous vps with them. also deb6.
Because I'm too much of a noob to figure out which test to go with, I did all 3. (Also Calif)
All serial dd-rape does is cause a vicious circle where I/O gets lower and lower and lower....
The 3rd
same feeling, it's hard to say no...
The hard drives speed up with activity to save power, thus if no one is using them the DD might be bad... Its a brand new node, thus no usage, thus slower I/O. I did a test and ran 5 in a row on each drive before I put the stock up for those nodes and I was able to get up to 90 MB/s. That being said we're only running raid 1 on the CA node... if you need a faster I/O we can transfer you to a node running raid 10 in Kansas.
Just ordered a box in Illinois. The disk I/O speed is pretty low, and I'm not a fan of the lxcenter control panel.
Off to bed now, I'll test it fully tomorrow.
too hard to resist offer
I ordered one in illinois, but it has no internet connectivity. Is there something I must do in hypervm?
PS. I have already opened a ticket
Congrats on one year of service
was too slow to order. out of stock
Damn, missed this, expecting anymore stock soon?
We'll have more stock shortly. We have the servers, just don't want to lower our support quality by expanding too fast.
kindly post when your new stock arrives. thanks!
Just curious if there are any plans to upgrade / expand the CA nodes at all? The service and support with BlueVM have been great, it is just let down by below average data speeds.
found new stock at illinois. bought one now.
Update:
CPU model : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU L5520 @ 2.27GHz
Number of cores : 2
CPU frequency : 2038.801 MHz
Total amount of ram : 512 MB
Total amount of swap : 0 MB
Download speed : (11.2MB/s)
I/O speed : 56.2MB/s
I think it's great for my purpose. Webhosting low traffic blogs.
Plan says "2 CPU's (@2.5 Ghz+ Each)"
Just sayin
@Taylor maybe depends on which location. but, im happy with it.
We try to match the hardware, but if it doesn't match and the client asks for it we'll grant an extra core to make up for the difference.
No stock at all..:)
@BlueVM
Are you planning on having anymore stock for this promo?
