Dig Not Working

slashmpwslashmpw Member

Hi, I've just encountered a problem on one of my VPS's with the Dig and NSlookup command not being found all of a sudden? There were both working last week. I had a quick flick through Google but couldn't find anything that helped.

Anyone had a similar problem? Know why it happened? Thanks.

Thanks, returns exactly the same as my other VPS which dig works on. (or aim i missing something?)

the $PATH variable is where bash looks for executables. This would imply the binary "dig" isn't in the folder that's shown in $PATH. Which OS are you using?

  • CentOS 6.5. just checked /usr/bin and dig is not in there. Any ideas why it has gone? Thanks.
