A nice cpu for virtualisation and multi threading, but single core performance is not good looking at passmark at least
Oooh, that looks awesome
They don't seem to accept paypal anymore
Which DC does Online.net use?
Their own.

Paypal still works from my site
Paypal works for all international customers that once used paypal with them before. New international customers (or those who never paid them with paypal) are forced to use a CC.
The Kimsufi 20€ server is still better. 16GB ram and a better CPU.
They only advantage is that you can get more IPs.
Well, it's however nice to have a choice...
I always wanted to play with that special atom and now is playtime. :-)
wonder how their network is.. it says premium 150mbit guaranteed.. Im noticing kimsufi can get kinda slow at times..
Pretty good network, I have one of the servers with a 300mbps "guarantee", but they let me use a lot more:
MM, that processor is pretty pathetic. 8 cores, but a dual core Celeron outperforms it.
Better off getting the KS-3 from OVH for 14.99 EUR, which has a better i3 2130 in it. Only benefit this has, is ECC RAM.
I am very happy with their network, too. There have been some massive upgrades since they openend up officially for international customers... I more than often went way above the guaranteed bandwidth for hours.
Anyone got any screenshots of the Online.net control panel?
its awesome for people based in Europe. however americans are out of luck!
Shame you can't get RAID.
You get RAID with the server that costs EUR 10 more. And - I did some speedtests with some US servers and cannot really complain about the performance.

I think about to buy one of these, would someone allow me to run a gameserver for short time? Just testing.
Just checked the hard drive. Seems as if it is not as old as I expected it to be:
why would they be using the slower 2.5 drives in those quite fast servers. strange..
They deliver around 120 transactions per second. Should be well enough if you are not running a very busy database.
this is one of those servers that i will over work in a good away i will give it lots of the extra utility services that i run on some vms and throw them on to one node and walk away from it. It has enough cpu when it needs it but cheap enough that its worth the savings.
I completely agree. That Atom is exactly what I was looking for to replace some vms.
it's the i5 that is the same price with OVH, I take it the i5 is better?
Check url posted before you will get your answer. If you want to buy one for your home go with Atome, low power usage, of course. If you get cheap i5 (online), why not, but don't thinkt to get as much VMs.
I have never pushed high traffic on my kimisfi machines but not sure if they get past the 100mb port speed at all.
ah yeah, OVH only offer 100mbit
that was the i3, but yeah I checked on that site and the i5 seems to be more powerful
One thing to consider is that the i5 is the cheaper because kimisfi shows price with vat while online.net does not show price with vat.
also find that my provider should almost always have stock. getting servers at kimisfi is a never ending stock battle.
Much better, I'm just showing it has similar performance as an i3 from Kimsufi
Holy crap you use a lot of bandwidth.
