Prometeus do that with FTP'n'Web packages.

www.bqbackup.com
Not the cheapest, but certainly been solid for me over the last few years.
disk.wedos.com/en/ - 100 GB @ $6/mo.
wedos, lol :P
It has high availability
I don't get it, what's wrong with them? They are very professional and own all their hardware. They are rock solid.
I just found the domain hilarious
As fellow joker with OVerZold and the like, I appreciate it, nothing against them.
It's the name I think.
You could hire someone to buy a Backupsy, set up a FTP server there, and then only give you FTP credentials, not the actual VPS ones. All in all will likely be cheaper than some "bqbackup.com" nonsense (that there are retards paying $20/month just for 100GB of storage makes me lose faith in humanity).
For at least somewhat sensible offers, one example is Google with 1TB for $10/mo: https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2375123?hl=en&ref_topic=2375005
Another option is hubic: https://hubic.com/ but it's limited to 10 Mbit only, and so far has been somewhat of a "rocky road" for early adopters. Both should be mountable as a Linux filesystem via FUSE.
Is the bandwidth of 400GB for 100GB storage annual? Meaning you can just transfer 400GB per year?
+1. Been using a 500GB backupsy server since a year. $7 per month with promo credits of 50% off has been awesome.
Hi:
https://backupftp.pl/maxiftp.php
Promocode: L25
Wedos = Goat (Indonesian)
We can offer you something in France, PM me for details.
Thx for the feedback. I went with the offer from https://www.prometeus.net/billing/cart.php?gid=15. Works fine and very fast to backup my VPS data, around 30MB/s upload speed with FileZilla with a single file. Also tax free for Canadians Support replies fast, too.
Of course it would be nice to have 1 TB for 10$ per year. Maybe in 5 years
Note: Dropbox, Mega and Google Drive all fail if you want to sync thousands of small files. They are stuck in "scanning" mode for hours, even days without any upload. Mega is worst, is messed up my sync directory by syncing deleted stuff. FTP still rules today
If you are sking about Prometeus offer, no, not at all, all allocations are monthly, they are reset every 1st of the month, so, in theory, you can use 13 months of traffic for a year 13x400 GB
how can you mount google drive via fuse ?
linky ?
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alessandro-strada/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install google-drive-ocamlfuse
$google-drive-ocamlfuse
$ mkdir ~/googledrive
$ google-drive-ocamlfuse ~/googledrive
does anyone here use OVH's cloud for backup?
hmm ok;
it looks like authorization isnt very CLI freindly but apparently possible.
ill look into this
also doesnt seem to be any new commits since 4 months ago
google://"google drive fuse"
But yeah, the most active project is google-drive-ocamlfuse.
4 months is not that long, also maybe the software just works (did not try it myself).
There's a lot of complaints at their forum, see https://forums.hubic.com/
Many people don't get even the promised 10 Mbit/sec, the actual speed is much less. But apparently it should also be mountable via FUSE, and on the good side you can try them with the free 25 GB account.
I will recommend pCloud. https://www.pcloud.com/
128GB FTP Account, $8 per month, 2TB bandwidth,visit:
http://xvvl.com/index.php/order/main/packages/backuphosting
The Fiberhub data center
With 8 $ you can get 4-500 GB with full root access, 2-4 TB traffic, 1-2 GB of ram with Xen/KVM and more with OVZ. True, nobody will install ftp for you or keep the os up to date, but that price is really high.
I know that and i will update it shortly, thanks for your advice.
