Install Openmediavault in KVM VulTR

Helo, I took a large storage server in VulTR and wanted to install OpenMediaVault in it, but this requires install system in one4 disk and manage data in other disks:

"Openmediavault requires a separate drive to hold the operating system"

I oppened a ticket with support requesting 2 disks instead of one and they told me there's nothing they can do. They suggested to take another server and use main server as a network storage.

I tried to make a small 10GBs partition but installer erases everything and makes an entire partition for system. What a stupid thing, really.

Any ideas? using the ISO ? any easy way to lie the system ?

Thanks

  • Nope, they need to give you a separate disk for the OS and one for the storage.

use iwStack.com for this then. They allow several disk per VPS. Or maybe @DaveA have some news if this feature will come to Vultr also soon?
