I have run OpenVZ in a KVM VPS
I've run OpenVZ with HyperVM on VMware Workstation, should be similar with VirtualBox.
VirtualBox uses full hardware virtualization, anything you can do on a physical system you can do in a VirtualBox VM. As far as any OS installed within VirtualBox knows, it's on a physical system. You can even run KVM within KVM within KVM within KVM if you wanted :P
