West coast dedi at approx $100 w/ E3, SSD and Gbps
Hi,
We are looking for a mid-high end server at west coast for websites. We were with 100tb-dot-com for 1 year and pretty happy with their service, but due to the demand of location (west) and speed (SSD is required) and the potential cost of these two we are now looking for a cheaper deal somewhere else.
Requirement:
- CPU: >= E3 1230, v3 would be better, 1270 would be better, i7 is acceptable. Higher single core performance is preferred.
- Mem: >= 16GB
- Storage: at least 1 SSD and 1 HDD. SSD >= 32G. HDD >= 1T. The more the better.
- BW: >= 10TB@1gbps
- IP: >=3 v4, >=/96 v6 (v6 is optional, v6tunnel is ok)
- IPMI, KVM to install Linux
- West coast, somewhere in sea, pdx, lax, sjc, etc. Good connections with Asia area is important.
- Better if allow torrenting with legal contents
We are looking at $100 price range but can pay up to 160 if it's a reasonable price for a good server. Will stay at least 1 year with the provider if provided good service.
