Fast, easy, automated and accurate benchmarking + online/embedded reports
Hello guys!
We have officially launched PetaByet V1 to the public, after the previous public beta.
PetaByet provides easy server benchmarking and creates an online report. You can also embed a nice report card to your website.
This script has been tested on CentOS 5/6, Ubuntu 13.10, Debian 7 and ArchLinux 2013; we recommend you to run it on CentOS 6.
It's easy to run a benchmark with PetaByet, all you have to do is to provide some details about your VPS and a CURL (or WGET) command will be generated for you; after that you can run it on your server.
The script will test the following:
- Disk IO (DD, IOPing, Seek, Sequential)
- Download speed (14 locations + 2 CDN)
- Server specs (CPU, RAM, disk)
- Miscellaneous information (Plan, Price, Host, ISP, ASN, GeoIP Location)
There'll be an online report generated which means you don't have to copy/paste large chunks of code anymore.

Side menu is stuck open on Chrome IOS7 can't see right hand side content (won't let me scroll over).

You can click on the button to the right of the logo space to hide the menu.

Sorry I just noticed it's only happening on those sample report links you posted, if I visit the site linked on Run a beach mark now, it works fine.
@Petabyet:
1) on integrated browser of facebook@ios is impossible to close the side bar.
2) I think that you should support some alternative currencies (maybe euros?) with a direct conversion (maybe using external services like xe.com)

You can't disagree.. It downloads test files from various servers and posts the speed.

3/4/6 No, I don't want it to take a long time and be as complicated as ServerBear, PetaByet should be simple and fast. I might remove 1-2 speed test locations and allow time for a CPU benchmark.
5 I'm thinking of using a plotted map instead of the plain text, what do you think?
The locations are based on my GeoIP API (with data from MaxMind).
Aren't MaxMind charging you fo using that?? O.o

Thanks, will consider that. Regarding the email, I'll see if there is a demand for it and make it optional. I don't want to get IP's blacklisted by doing so.
