SolusVM/Xen PV error

I'm trying to boot up a CentOS 5.3 vps on Xen PV (via solusvm) and the console (xm console vm101) keeps outputting this error,

dracut FATAL: Machine in enforcing mode and cannot execute load_policy. To disable selinux, add selinux=0 to the kernel command line.
dracut Warning:

dracut Warning: Boot has failed. To debug this issue add "rdshell" to the kernel command line.

dracut Warning: Signal caught!

dracut Warning: Boot has failed. To debug this issue add "rdshell" to the kernel
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x00000100

anyone know how to resolve this? I know for a fact SELinux is disabled.

  • The problem is now solved, I was able to narrow it down to corrupt templates.

For the future of this post if anyone happens to stumble upon it when experiencing the same error, I would recommend not using the default solusvm templates.

For CentOS on SolusVM, you need to set selinux=0 in the kernel parameters for the template.
