Number of Cores:
1-2

RAM:
1-2 GB

Disk Space:
10-20 GB

Disk Type:

Port Speed:
1 Gbps

No

1x IPv4 + /64 IPv6 (a /48 or extra /64 would be a plus)

Finland, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania.

Use case: personal VPN for family, low average usage with evening bursts.

Before ordering I'd like to test the route from my side (ping/traceroute)
and check the IP's reputation. A test IP or looking glass would be much
appreciated.

Thanks!

I can’t find the LT version on their website. Or does it only appear during sales?

Make sure to discuss with the host first about IP changes, since the Russian government has detection that automatically blocks IPs for VPN use every 24~ hours.

    Hi @jvan,

I know Frankfurt isn't one of your preferred locations, but since your use case is a personal VPN for family members in Russia, I thought I'd share an alternative.

We have quite a few customers from Russia using our Frankfurt VPS servers for similar purposes, including personal VPN setups.

Our VPS Basic is available for $3.90/month:

    • 1 vCPU
    • 1GB DDR5 RAM
    • 30GB NVMe SSD
    • 10Gbps shared network port
    • Unmetered traffic (fair use)
    • 1 IPv4 + IPv6 included
    • KVM virtualization with full root access
    • Frankfurt, Germany

    VPN usage,

And since routing and connectivity from Russia are particularly important for your use case, we're happy to offer you a free VPS trial for a few hours before you commit to anything.

Just open a support ticket at https://venocloud.com and mention this LowEndTalk thread. We'll arrange a short test so you can check latency, routing, VPN connectivity, and overall performance from your side.

No need to purchase first just to find out whether the connection works for you.

    Hope this helps!

I considered since traffic is small and protocols are good we'll be fine. TSPU won't and can't ban every foreign ip. WDYM by every 24 hrs? Didn't heard anything about this.

Yes i do require the possibility to change ip once in a while, but most hosers already do this as a matter of course

I have to do like 15+ IP changes for people in Russia every day basically. All of them running VPNs (like Amnezia setups) for them or their family. It's pretty unfortunate.
