ServersCamp: new Simple VPS, starting €1/month

Greetings :)

Meet Simple VPS, our new product at ServersCamp.

A month ago we came to LET with test credit for our cloud. A lot of what we fixed since then came from your tickets and feedback, thank you for that. In that thread I mentioned affordable VPS, and some of you asked when it will be ready. Now it's ready, from €1 per month.

Simple VPS is a separate product from our cloud, it runs on its own servers with local SSD/NVMe. In convenience we made it close to our cloud VMs, with daily backups, VNC and serial console, reverse DNS and a choice of OS images.

Sometimes you just need a server.

💸 Simple VPS from €1/month

    VPS 0.75 · €1.00/mo
    0.5 vCore / 768MB RAM / 10GB Storage / 500GB Bandwidth
    👉 Order

    VPS 1 · €1.50/mo
    1 vCore / 1GB RAM / 20GB Storage / 1TB Bandwidth
    👉 Order

    VPS 2 · €3.00/mo
    2 vCores / 2GB RAM / 40GB Storage / 2TB Bandwidth
    👉 Order

    VPS 4 · €6.00/mo

🎁 Your next month could be free

Every month we pick a comment from last month using RANDOM.ORG. If we pick yours, you get back what you spent on Simple VPS last month as account credit.

Each comment is a chance to win. You must have used Simple VPS that month. Our own comments don't count. We'll post the winner here.

There's no end date. If we stop, we'll let you know here before the last draw.

    0.5 vCore , that's crazy

    What do you prefer?
A usable vps or whatever you can grab for cheap?

also sadly just 500 GB and 1 TB bandwidth.
my shared hosting account itself uses 4 TB a month!

  • I registered back in September for test credits. Now I cannot log in, getting Invalid email or password and there is no way to recover password. Login PIN never arrives. Do I need to register again with Google/Github?

Hi, try to sign in with Google or GitHub. Most likely a different email was used at first registration. Or DM me

The seller has an interesting approach to business. Before entering the store, you must give the bank card into the hands of the seller, after which he will open the door to his store and show what the inside.

Creating an account is not just a couple of records in a database. After onboarding, we create service VMs, a router, a gateway, and assign IP addresses. Some services, like the mail gateway, are free. Now imagine 100, 500, or 1,000 fake accounts, each of them takes resources. We give access to our platform and ask for the minimum in return.

We ask you to add a card, but we don’t charge it. After adding it, you also get €10 in credit to try the service for 10 days if there are no signs of abuse.

The meaning of this sentence is not entirely clear. Do not create a VM until the buyer pays for it. Like everyone else does.

It is clear that you have the opportunity to debit as much as you want from added card at any time without entering an CVC and a Security Code.

This is our position and I explained it. You can accept it or not 🙂

Perhaps you didn't realize, the larger time window between the card added and the transaction using said card, the lower chance of fraud.

Sure, they have a different approach, but they're easy to negotiate with. Just ask politely: their minimum top-up was €10, then I asked for €5 since I am only interested in VPS, and they settled on €3. So that was great!

    Wait, why I didn't received the €10 after top-up 😁?

I didn't doubt it. Write at least 10 for replenishment. 1 per month is not ten at the same time. These are different things and amounts. The shorter the validity period, the more meaningless the offer.

Find some other way without collecting a stack of bank cards in exchange for your freebie. And let the client see what he buys before buying.

For example, buyer pay $1 for a first month as a guarantee and after that get $10 as a gift. No need to start with a freebie on exchange to security risk for buyer.

€10 is only for 10 days to try the service. But for you, we’ll just give a month for free ;)

Hey, we upgraded cloud servers quite a lot. They got cheaper, and network disk, with all its pluses, lost its main minus, IOPS limits.

    • [Improved] New server plans on Basic and High Frequency. High Frequency is up to 41% cheaper, smallest server with free disk is €2/mo. Server prices
    • [Improved] Twelve disk tiers became two.

      • Standard, up to 100k IOPS, €80 per TB.
      • Enterprise, up to 200k IOPS, €130 per TB, with power-loss protection.
      • Free 25 GB root disk of every new server now runs at 100k IOPS, before it was 5k.
    • [Improved] Creating a server is much simpler now, you pick system and plan and the rest is already set up. Volumes work the same way.

More details in the blog, Price refactor: cheaper compute, faster disks, and release notes v2.5.0.

Example of yabs. Not bad for 4.5 euro cloud server, huh?

    root@vm-bde4e67687fcbc6c /home/scamp $ curl -sL https://yabs.sh | bash
