Eventually when the restock does happen you'll be hard pressed to get a slot since almost everyone bar a few are botting the drops now as the deals have caught the eye of nodeseekers.
Probably better luck finding someone who is reselling their slots now.

Yeah there were definitely bots. I was able to grab one manually but some of the plans were OOS within seconds

To be honest, I love GC as a provider, but I absolutely hate these threads and the way they do deals.
I'd rather they just had some normal deals like 20% off existing budget plans, or double RAM/storage which they've done in the past.
I hate these flash deals that get snapped up by bots or people who spend the whole day refreshing this thread or the website.
it would have been nice like 12 or 24hrs is one per customer, then after that, open season
Good in theory but people would just create multiple accounts. I would say that they could just limit it to existing active paying customers but I think they probably welcome and maybe even actively want new customers as well...
Maybe they could fix it by having ownership transfers. Have a sliding scale cost starting at like $80 and going down by $10/mo until it hits $10 or something. That way if you want to sell your account after 6-7 months it's only a small charge but for a scalper to snipe if up only to turn around and sell it in 1 month would be financially non- advantageous.
During last year's birthday sale, the stock for the special plans (2222, etc) didn't seem to go as fast. They sold, but I would watch even the popular locations like JP Softbank get restocked with 10, and it might take 20 minutes for them to sell. Enough time to grab one if you're keeping an eye on it.
But it seems this year there's more demand.
The flash sales in the thread for $3 or whatever would go instantly with little chance, of course.
I managed to snag the 1313 and July4th ones (one of each), but have yet to see one of the elusive thread deals/giveaways during the hours that I'm online refreshing. And I refuse to set up an agent/bot to do it for me on principal.

There was a TX, MO, and UK restock last night that stuck around for a decent while. - I think some locations just have a ton more demand than others.
