I prefer a subnet, simply because it's easier to remember the IPs that way.
You missed 1 more option.

Seeing as most vps providers here provide 1 IP with a vps - In my opinion, it wouldn't make a difference for ones with single IPs of course.
@setupvps can you be more specific about the question?
He meant that for example if you order a VPS with 5 IPs, you could either have one of the following:
Case 1:
45.36.53.65
32.34.23.125
234.112.122.22
45.4.3.2
5.6.7.8
The IPs would be random, but you have 5 IPs
Case 2:
1.2.3.1
1.2.3.2
1.2.3.3
1.2.3.4
1.2.3.5
The IPs will be in a sequence or forming 1.2.3.1/29 subnet.
I would prefer random IPs
So the question is only aboutg VPSs w/ multiple IPs then.
