I'm pretty sure that's how some people thought about it, when electricity was invented.
With innovation comes resistance. Its a tool that every artist, creator, developer* should have at their disposal.

I swear, its so hurtful to tell someone to follow something they never signed up for. LLM Access should be a basic human right for every human on the planet.

Why? It's not like they voted for this.

Tafak. Are you mad?! Llm must be a privilege to still have people who can think on their own.

Claude may become suspicious if they see DC IP.

I run Claude Code on a few different European/American VPSs with no problem [yet]

Edit: I pay with a European credit card and European contact details, which may be relevant here...but I wouldn't ever run it on my personal devices, so I only use VPSs

I was considering this, same concerns as you. I’m assuming you’re running Claude code terminal? Any minimum specs (vcore/ram) you recommend?

It totally depends on what you want it to do and how you want it to test/build its output etc.

The Claude Code application running in a terminal on Debian will run and write code on a 1c2g VPS, but if you want it to be able to use Docker Containers to test/compile its code then the server will need whatever resources that requires on top. Python containers can be very small, but Go containers need a lot more resources to be able to compile properly.

You can give it SSH access to allow it to do its testing elsewhere, and that works quite well, but if you want the server to run with a GUI and an IDE locally those will cost server resources that need to be accounted for. Or you can use Git and push/pull between your local device for these things, so basically the required server resources really depend on how you want to setup your environment and what you want it to do for you.

That like saying, "Computers should be a privilege, internet should be a privilege", when its something that should be basic available tool" for someone to train their own models as per their individual use cases, it is the only way humanity advances.

Some people don't want to spend too much money, but still want what they perceive to be authentic services—just like DeepSeek marketed as Claude Fable 5.5. I often see this on those unrestricted API relay sites, hehe

    如何在中转站伪装Claude

    Fable isn't 5.5 yet

its not even half bad in 3.8
