  • Buying prices are skyrocketing like Bitcoin.

  • skygmskygm Member

If the specs are good enough, the price can be raised even further.

  • Imagine paying $1000 for a $25 product. Just go get sys-3 or ks-6

Bitcoin doesn't require a monthly renewal fee, but servers do—they require a monthly payment to keep them running.

If it's worth $250, would anyone still buy it?
Similarly, if he's worth $15, then his price should still double.
If he's worth $5, maybe it could still double.

OVH guarantees they'll keep the renewal prices fixed until the death of the universe?

No way—even if they don’t raise prices in 10 or 20 years, I’ll still need it.
But over the past year, major providers have raised prices a second and third time—some are even about to raise them a fourth time—while OVH and KS haven’t raised their prices at all.

I've got the money ready, so please donate your server! If there isn't enough, I can always add more.

  • Good luck with hunting.. cheers

When I did not purchased his server, He tried to mock me by posting this and ended up with nothing.
P.S OP was trying to sell his KS-LE-E for 568 Euros :D :D

    RIP Poor

  • I wonder what if OVH pulls a Hetzner move and increases the prices of those boxes drastically.

  • I think they have still enough that paid out years ago. Just selling for unused power costs. Lets say, its a 2nd life for refurbished hardware until its dead.

  • I have a SYS-1 128GB Intel xeon 2236 in Singapore, will this work?

KS-LE-E It depends on the specs. If you win the one with 128GB of RAM, I'll buy it for $1,000.

As for mocking you, you’re not worthy.

I’ve been trying to buy this KS-MYSTERY server all along—not that KS-LE-E configuration with just a memory upgrade. The price has gone up by 50% even though the CPU hasn’t been upgraded—meaning a KS-MYSTERY with the exact same specs as the KS-LE-E. I wouldn’t even take one of those if someone gave it to me for free.

KS-MYSTERY has three CPU models—E5-1650V4, E-2288G, and AMD 7351P—and the lottery odds for the CPU, RAM, and drives all differ.

If a KS-MYSTERY is paired with an E5-1650V4 CPU, I wouldn’t take it even if it were given to me for free, because at the time I got several like that from the lottery. I couldn’t even sell them for their residual value—no one wanted them—so I just stopped renewing them afterward.

Paying $600 for just 128GB of RAM with no other requirements is already an exorbitant price.
An E5-1650V4 with 128GB of RAM from KS-MYSTERY should be worth around $150, because many people find the price of this CPU—compared to the 23-euro model—unacceptable.
That’s why someone familiar with OVH replied to your post.
You want to pay $600 for some mystery KS? Damn, Neoon would’ve been a multi-trillionaire last April.

Everyone is free to spend as much as they want on a server with the configuration they desire, so no one will make fun of you,

Sorry, I only need the one priced at 23 euros (or the equivalent in dollars). I already have two of the standard-priced models in use, but since I need them for the long term, I’d like to spend a bit more to buy one or two of the discounted ones to replace them.

I have a 64GB SYS-1 for $44.20 renewal as well with same cpu and 2x4tb storage

Sorry, but the risk of price increases for the SYS series is very high, so I'm not considering it. I can only afford the KS series.
I need something for long-term use, so price stability is my top priority.
AMD Epyc 7351p 128 GB 2x2TB NVMe 39 euros/month This is what I need to replace right now

I can't switch to a model with lower specs and a higher price.

Once I've replaced it, I'm thinking of selling the AMD Epyc 7351p with 128 GB of RAM and 2x2TB NVMe drives.

OVH might have KS-LE servers during Black Friday, but they will probably cost more than the previous ones.

To be fair if you have a use for it that earns you more money then the server costs then why not spent it. But It's quite the money to spent on it, i hope someone would sell it to you good luckies!
