we were doing core switches upgrade after new vulnerabilities found in the version we were running
We have fully redundant topology and we did it many times in the past with no issue
We are looking at what caused it so it will not happen again
it was few minutes down when one of the routers was rebooting
i had 2 vps with them for several year. both of them are down for last 3 months. today i just fixed them. imagine, your data server is down for 3 months and you forgot it even after monitor email.
this is not a complain, just my disappointment. not to servarica.

this is due to latest KVM vulnerabilities found by AI
and again for 2nd time in 3 months the issue are released the same day the kernel update is released which forced us to do offline upgrade to all our fleet
that means each vm in affected server will be suspended for 15 min approx till the server reboot and we get the patched kernel
We had to do it this way as the online way will take few days to finish all our fleet and the risk is too much as this some of these vulnerabilities give full host control to the attacker
currently we finished 80% of all the servers and will try to finish all in few hours
